  • Mô tả: There was a large increase in the demand for education between 1940 and 1990, as seen by the increase in the supply of workers with more education and a lack of reduction in relative wages. Data from the Decennial Census and the Current Population Survey were used to study the changes in wages and employment structure for ten-year periods between 1940 and 1990. The results indicated that the demand for skill increased during this time. The demand for male workers in the top wage decile grew 50% to 70%, while the demand for male workers in the bottom decile declined 30% to 50%.
