  • Mô tả: Analysts who predicted the fall of East Asia after the US left Vietnam in 1975 did so with the belief that the lack of US presence would lead to instability. The region currently enjoys healthy economic growth, and a continued US military presence in some countries is enough to help maintain stability. The US plans to keep its presence, as it is what countries have said they want. The relationship between trade and security is imagined, especially in light of the trade imbalance with Japan.
