  • Mô tả: As of winter 1991 the Balkan states are becoming less stable. Factions from Serbia, Slovenia, Kosovo and Croatia say that there is no need for the continuance of Yugoslavia as a state. Nationalism is not the attempt to defend cultural unity and reclaim national memory, it is the disregard for another's human and national rights. Nationalism has traditionally been a way to avoid responsibility for the past and an ersatz reason to exclude groups from the nation. In each post-communist country a right wing has emerged which is responsible for the same sort of nationalism that flourished under communism.
