    Management responsibility-Chapter 5
  • Là 1 phần của: Automotive Quality Systems Handbook, Chapter 5, pp.205-285
  • Mô tả: This chapter examines the requirements included in Section 5 of ISO/TS 16949. All these requirements apply to top management and their implementation reflects the leadership style of the organization. The section shows that an understanding of customer needs and expectations is vital for an organization to prosper and essential for developing an effective management system. It is also discovers that success is not simply about getting results. The manner in which these results are obtained is important if all the benevolent interested parties are to be satisfied. It is learnt that this is where policies are needed to guide the actions and decisions and the behavior to accomplish the purpose and mission of the organization. It is observed that objectives are important in focusing the efforts of people so that they all pull in the same direction. But it is also seen that setting objectives and targets without a plan for meeting them is futile just as setting an objective or a target beyond the capability of the system, which eventually creates frustration and low moral. The chapter concludes with the importance of evaluating system effectiveness and recognizes that a different approach should be taken towards management review.
