  • Mô tả: The design and implementation of of Choices, an object-oriented system for porting parallel applications to various computer architectures, is discussed in detail. Choices is implemented in the C++ programming language, which has a limited number of object-oriented functions but has high-level functions that are available in other languages. Utilizing C++ allows the construction of Choices without extending the language. Additionally, C++ features such as classes, subclasses and language primitives are used to build the concurrent programming features in Choices. The class hierarchies of Choices are generalized to establish a structured organization to the system, which further benefits from such object-oriented attributes as polymorphism and inheritance. Also, the object-oriented hardware encapsulation allows the use of inheritance and specialization for prototyping.
